  • Once you got your first "straight" edge, why not go to the joiner and continue to work on that same edge, then back to the table saw to cut to your board to dimension plus a 1/16" then back to the joiner to work the second edge bringing the board to final dimension. Of course you will leave it heavy, to sand it in. That is assuming you already visited the planer before even putting it across the table saw. Seems like less waste and danger to me.

  • Video was done for those who do not have a jointer,or a severe situation

  • Video keeps stopping... Aggravating. Youtube sucks again

  • Hey chord, does this to me sometimes as well, try allowing it to load completely before watching, pain, but sometimes it is the only way.

  • Your videos are very informative - stick the specific info just like you do here - keep them as short as possible. You deserve a better video quality and lighting (maybe the halogen shop lights - that's what I use for our product photos). I have a furniture company and I'd love to have your comments and suggestions - I'm using some of the stuff I learned in the video in our shop (picasaweb!google!com/sales.bbf).

Keep up the great work - your experience and intelligence really show.

  • That was a great solution. I use lots of scrap wood from a boat shop and I rarely get straight wood, seems the cut off is from curve cuts. Now finally I have a solution, which seems so simple now that I have seen it. Thanks also for touching on the safety side of ripping on the table saw. I have had those spears of wood shoot at me before and it makes a person a little jumpy. Thanks.

  • Great stuff. I am very impressed.

  • I think that may just be the sound out of sync...

Otherwise, great stuff as usual, Mr. Neil : )

  • Great instruction, thanks. Tell your camera man to quit tripping over stuff and making all that background noise.

  • Yes Charles... You are right... Then sometimes a different browser works!

I tell you you could fit my shop in one corner of yours and you'd think you had a new sheet material rack!

    Thanks my friend. Useful tech..

    John
