you know this is brahms !!! the man who has the HUGE hearth, deep...this trio, is one of the symbols of the WHOLE romantic period of music.
Stern, Rose,Istomin... I guess this is the best interpreation of this masterpiece. they´ve taken a slower tempo which suits the work wonderfully...they have time, as brahms also always had. very generous tone, very generous sound...i am just moved...absolutelly great!!!

Every time I hear that opening cello phrase I wish I were a cellist! This is a very introspective and calm performance.

Wow, impossibly beautiful intonation and balance in opening violin cello duet! Did they play together often? Ensemble is much better than other million-dollar trio vids on youtube.
