It's said that "a picture is worth a thousand words," but in Chip Bok's case, the "picture" turns into "a history lesson." Bok compresses history into the form of a single, striking image, six times a week, on the editorial pages of the Akron Beacon Journal. As the paper's editorial cartoonist, Bok uses political savvy... humor... and a talent for caricature to put a graphic spin on current events.

  • I agree it's more important to draw the personality than always getting that dead on likeness. The editorial artist must concisely sum up a given story. It's very difficult to do, but very satisfying when you do it.

  • Chip Bok...with a bane like that you just GOTTA be an artist... LOL hey...what am I laughing at? My name is Elgin Bolling and I'm an editorial artist too....

  • can you help me draw and editorial cartoon for news papers?? Pls help me
