With a combined age of over 400 years, The Jazz Gentlemen are still going strong. This video was recorded at the Aughton Institute in October this year. The band comprises of Terry Porter on reeds, Keith Allcock on Bass, Dick Nancarrow on drums, Maurice Gavan on piano, Derek Skepper on trumpet and Terry Brunt on Trombone.   • If they don't get paid they hang the trombonist by his scarf. However, such is his astonishing flexibility and athleticism he ducks and dives until he frees himself from the noose and lives to play another day. I see they're covering up the pianist's face but the E-flat in his left hand tells me it's that old Jade Busen musician, Mr M, Gavan, esq. Great stuff, lads - encore mes amis!!!
