President Obama should just run this FDR clip as a 60 second spot in all of the swing states. If Medicare had existed in 1936, it would have been at the top of FDR's list in this speech. The Romney/Ryan plan seems to be to cut taxes for the lucky, increase defense spending by $2 trillion, leave entitlements unreformed, and then wave the magic wand so it won't cost us a penny!

Also played on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on October 9th, 2012!

Update, 10/24/12: Viacom claimed copyright of this video and YouTube took it down. It's back up pending dispute resolution. I find this hilarious since FDR gave this speech 34 years before Viacom existed. Perhaps their complaint was that Jon Stewart played it, over a year after I posted it? I guess in their view, anything they put on TV, they own. Kinda reminds me of Robin Williams's cat routine... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGEGy2...
