This is a video of the project on a very early stage, displaying error codes at start and tachometer values (RPMs) on an ugly 2x16 alphanumeric LCD. This board is built for communication debugging purposes only and runs on a 5MHz microcontroller.
I've also programmed a PC software emulating Nissan ECU responses for quick debug at home.

Final version consists on a smaller dash unit with 122x32pixel graphic LCD.
Destination cars are those Nissan fitted with Consult ECU diagnostic port.
