Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake is about 15 miles long. It has bison, antelope, longhorn sheep, and drinkable water from springs. The bison are not fenced in and there are warning signs saying "Bison are dangerous."

The Great Salt Lake is 75 miles long, 35 miles wide, and is salty because it doesn't drain. Brine shrimp are harvested as well as salt. There are no fish.

The Fielding Garr Ranch was built on the island in 1848. The original building still stands. It was actively ranched until the 1980's and can be toured today. They do still have bison round ups.
