@Bluntcard Thank you for posting this. I left San Francisco almost three years ago. This was like sitting on
the Muni Train. Watching all the stations go by, all the different sounds. I miss it. I
miss all the different kinds of people and changes.

Oh, and they need to make the seating longitudinal like they have on the NYC subway cars so they can cram on more people: I'm fucking sick and tired of not being able to get on a fucking train during rush hour!

I was riding an M out to Stonestown years ago before they computerized the subway and the train operator was fucking opening the trains full fucking bore between the stations and you have to hold on for dear life as the fucking operator was just tearing out of the stations and waiting to the last seconds to brake into the next station.
Looking back on it, it was pretty cool but at the time all of us on the train had that "we're all gonna fucking die!" look.

@markdm4805: the J & N exit the tunnel at Church street which is probably about a mile from Van Ness.
-
@TheWoodpeckerWoody The Muni Metro system was built very similar to the Green Line in Boston. The J and N travel as far as Van Ness and then travel above ground to there various destination. The K L and M lines do the same thing at West Portal Station with the K and M taking there own route and meeting up at Balboa Park BART and the L going out to the Zoo and Ocean Beach

What was the different between the K,L and the M line? In NY we had the L, M and other lines.

Makes Me Miss the City,Rode the K alot and BART get home off of Ocean Ave. Loved walking from Market St./ Van Ness to Castro with my best friend &walk up that big Hill to get to his house. We'd walk because the bus took to long, and by the time we got to the next bus stop, the damn bus passed us by!great memories in San Pancho! But where are all the weirdos at?There was always a Colorful Peep on any bus any given time on any given day?back in the mid 90's

If they had built a MUNI line along/under Van Ness and also Geary then San Francisco's public transit would be world class. That would be too logical though.
What Train Was that You Riding On? The K, Or The L, Or The M?
