This video is really old but I will just say something. You should check if there is a collision before you move the player instead of moving him and testing for collision. This will stop the bouncing through the floor.

the map can be done with 3D Studio max, but how did you do test the collision (not what kind of) ?
against every polygon on the map or what ..

@TheJetexproductions Sorry, I'm not have... this source has already 4 years and I abandoned this project...
In this source, i used a ray/plane intersect function, and today, maybe I would use Physx on a new project.
