When a person has a rigid, unchangeable belief system, it is pointless to debate with him, because he will surely find a way to defend what he believes to his own satisfaction - by grabbing hold of the closest weak argument and not allowing himself to think too deeply.

To see this mindset in action across the broad spectrum of religion, I recommend checking out Bill Maher's documentary "Religulous": http://video.google.com/videoplay?doc...

That claim falls dead. Africans are non-Hebrews. Deuteronomy 20:10-14 and Leviticus 25:44-46 disprove your claim that this is not the same slavery as the American Slavery. Only Hebrew slaves had the pay off a debt thing shown in Exodus 21:2-6. Only Hebrew slaves serve for 6 years and let go of the seventh year. However if you give the Hebrew slave a wife and some children and he says “I Love my Master” Then they are marked with an awl in the ear and the Hebrew slave is property for life.

Fair enough, is there a "Contact Me" link on your website with an email address? This would avoid cluttering up our comment feed.

Sure. I've just had a session with another user using Google Hangout. Seems like a great format for debate. However, we need to leave this until after 2 March, as I have bandwidth issues currently. Get in touch with me then, and we'll set it up.

Descriptive text does not make prescriptive doctrine. These are all things we could hash out in a debate. Are we gonna set that up?

Your original statement was "The bible never promotes or supports slavery," which is clearly wrong. Your God, instead of pointing out that people should not be considered property, simply institutes rules in how to treat that property (and not very humane rules at that). If you're a slave, kiss goodbye to social justice, because your ONLY a slave. God agrees, apparently.
