He began with apologies that his band was not with him... for this song and the rest of the weekend - we saw that it did not matter. =) see his website for more info: www.jimmydemers.com

  • Awesome !

  • Superb voice. Bravo Jimmy.

  • What a song, what a voice! No band needed here! Peace be with you-- it does begin with you... and me. Desi

  • This was a FANTASTIC rendition of one of my favorite songs!!!! Perfection!!!!!

  • VERY awesome voice.... can we do a duet sometime?! :) My family sings on you tube too.. search: demers family. (yup-- same name!)

  • And I'll spare everyone my own music resume, but years ago I DID sing this song, many times, as part of a choir. Again, Jimmy's voice is fine, no complaint -- just don't like his choice to extend those notes. If it feels wrong, it doesn't matter what kind of vocal control he uses to do it.

  • Meh, this is not an industry message board and no one needs "qualifications" to make a remark! If the guy's holdin' a note too long -- he's holdin' a note too long. Go back, listen again, and keep your cheap shots to yourself. If you disagree, say so, but heaven forbid someone should call YOU a name too!

  • well, are u an expert?

what is your background? are you even remotely qualified? why defend a moron? Let me break it down for you-there is something called vocal control which you are apparently unaware of. Jimmy has been around a lot longer than Clay Aiken so to use Clay as a reference is poor.

It is funny how people with very little background and no experience comment ike buffoons-you do not know enough about this business to make a valid comment.

  • What ignorant? Yes, he is a very competent singer -- but that is certainly a legitimate criticism. By doing that, he loses the tune. It's a little bit of cheap showmanship -- this guy is talented enough to make the song his own without having to wring something out of every vowel for goshsakes!

  • Awsome I'm going to sing this song in my chorus concert
