Windows 8 running on a netbook Acer Aspire One

Windows 8 running on a netbook, just a small test to see how it performed, how much memory it used etc..

This particular netbook has 1GB DDR2 and a Intel Atom N270 so it isn't exactly brand-spanking new. I got it in 2008 and Windows 8 runs fine on it. It only uses 440MB of RAM when idle which is pretty good.

Have you tried anything intensive like multitasking or anything? How does this compare with Windows 7 and XP?

@Fishsticks910 Multitasking is murderous. Running too many programs and switching between them is like trying to fit 4 giant pies in your mouth at the same time.

Slow and exhausting.
