This tree wasn't intentionally hollowed out to make room for cars to drive through. If so, they would have made it a little bit larger. As I understand it, this tree was infested w/ a particular wood type of parisite (beetle) & they started cutting chunks out of it to remove the beetle. Their hope was to study the beetle, find a treatment but they did expect the tree to die but, it would have anyways due to the bug. BUT, in the end, even w/ the hole in it, it ended up still living to this day.

I just dont understand how can be a fucking idiot ignorant bastard made a way for a car on one 800 year old tree .....private property ??? I dont think that its right how can be a 800 old tree a proprtiy some human ....its not right buying a property on moon or earn 800 year old tree ok whenn his grad grad father mahn y generation araund put seed to the grund and you have your tree but that 800 year old beautyfull gigat its belonge god not for barbarian human......:-(

when i was a kid me and my mate use to make cubby houses n shit up the bush.. anyway there was this tree that had a big hollow V hole in the trunk.. and it was me personally who named it the cunt trunk tree... it its still know by that name by fuck all people really but hey...
