Its way better for your turtle to have clean fresh water...As far as keeping the habitat dirty so your cat wont try to eat them, that kinda sucks for the poor turtles. They will most likely end up getting sick from that nasty water. Just ask any pet-store or person who has written you a comment. If you are unable to keep there habitat clean maybe you should give them to someone who can. Hopefully you can find a way to keep them safe from your cat and have a healthy life as well.

@verdugoadventures u know i got a turtle its a malayan box turtle and i ot it from a construction place i wanna save him so i get him.Two weeks later i got wo baby red ear slider and becuz of the water is to clean it got caught buy a cat so i decided to keep the water dirty but u still can see through it
