Very nice idea. Tried to make a rig of my own design tonight with nothing but frustration. I will try your idea. Thanks for the video.

nice one.
im working on one for normal coils that moves left/right mechanically so we don't have to manually move the wire guide.

craft glue that stays tacky works really well when it dries you can lift it from the surface and pot it or put liquid rubber onit for insulation only you can glue your hand to the coil and ruin everything if not carefull

You're my hero, a very nice piece of work. I dont know if you can in USA, BUT HERE in Mexico I will try Clear, is an automotive quick dry enamel. Dries fast and is used to make homemade speaker coils.
I will give you a clue : Try 500 turns or the subharmonics.
Thank you for share this

Good idea. Are you winding that onto sticky tape?
-
Hydro, I like your style!
Yes, using double sided foam tape - the type used for permanent mounting. Also tried the thinner double sided transparent tape, but it was not sticky enough. Also note that wider tape would be better because there would be fewer seams to wind over. I am using 3/4" in the video, but looking for 1.5" or 2".
