BSU vs VSU Horsepower 2011 Sousaphone Battle

Bowie State tuba section prepared long and hard to see Horsepower. BSU presented the challenge and after a few minutes, VSU arrived on the scene.

So hey yea im new to these guys. I was wondering where VSU and BSU are actually located.

@cuhstuba00 You can see plenty of other videos of VSU Horsepower but to answer the question VSU is Virginia State University located in Petersburg, VA about 30 minutes from the capital (Richmond). BSU (Bowie State University) is located in Bowie, Maryland.

@cuhstuba00 Yes, BSU is still in full uniform. VSU was half dressed on their way home when they came back out to battle.

from what i was told bowie waited tell hp went in the building and then tried to call them out

@Beanz826 Not exactly accurate. VSU did there drumline and the band went into the building. Bowie was further up the street and by the time they marched around to their buses on the other side of the building and finished kicking down, VSU was already in the building changing to leave. BSU blocked up outside and did a few call outs and the rest is on tape...

i love horsepower but they fill that they should and cut through anybody.when you do that it takes away from the essence of the battle.now i can understand two or three measures before the end.but in the middle COME ON.you can never really tell who won

Ive seen many clips of vsu and i think that they could have done better.i am a very big fan of vsu but this time they lost. I think they could have did better but didn't attempt to cuz they already have that mind set that everybody knows that they would win.

bsu was in um cant lie vsu is the tubas to beat but that pink panther or watever im only in 7th grade idk all the fanfares so exsuese me but im form kentucky so im all about kentucky state university

so its ok to have no class.. cause the whole vid vsu.. is jus playin over bsu..thats not a victory.. thats admitting defeat.. like a 4 fit.. why would you show no class.. it is rude especially after i watched all of the other vids of this apperant rivalry..again vsu has no class.. thats sad.. and they didnt even play anything new.. so id say bsu great job.. 4 showing waymore class and 4 trying new things
