I think critics question the date Daniel was written because it gets history absolutely accurate to a certain date and then gets history absolutely wrong after a that date. It would be as if I wrote a book under the name of Abraham Lincoln claiming he spoke prophecies about everything that happened up to 2011 then appended my predictions for 2012 as though Lincoln wrote them.
