The Lionel Monckton Melodies arranged by Stanford Robinson are attractively played with good use of the Melotone unit, the first to be recorded on disc. Reginald Foort described the Paramount Thearte ogran as the finest built by Compton but Al Bollinton maintained that the tiba was weak and needed the Melotone to give support.

Reginald Foort was organist at the Regal Marble Arch, London from 1930 to 1932. The Marble Arch Christie was the largest unit oran installed in Britain. Foort cut some of his best discs on this organ, and this is one of his outstanding tracks.

  • The magic of the Organ gave a voice to the Silents- and to many a radio program mood. I dearly miss it.....Thank God many were saved.
