It is tragic that in a land that worships its heroines the birth of a girl child is often the cause of sorrow. Every munni is badnaam even before she is born. And for what? A girl is just as likely to make her parents proud as a boy. Indeed she is more likely to take care of them in their old age. Yet she is seen as a burden and treated as such. The bigger tragedy is that we who know better do nothing about it. Oh, you might say what can I, a mere individual, do? For starters, you can at least help change a few people's perceptions about girls. Please click the following link and send it to everyone you know and urge them to send it on to their friends and post it on their Facebook. It starts with you. It could end up making life better for all the girls to come.

  • what a looong convoluted way of putting across a rather serious and straight message. especially given the class of people it has to resonate with the communication piece could've been far more straight

  • Very innovative way of putting across this message
