Guys, he wanted it because his pet gets stamina directly from him. More stam = longer survivability. Plus, as he's said MULTIPLE times, it was for his hunter TANKING spec. Plus, he even fucking warned the tanks that he was rolling on it.

i don't understand why people meet this this such controversy, why can't people push the boundaries of their class? Does anyone else remember rogue tanking? that too was treated with skepticism. Currently i have a hunter friend who can tank every single normal raid, and even some heroics, so who is to say they he cant tank? Also he clearly stated to the tank that he would be needing this trinket so i don't know why he flipped out.

They'll never be tanks.
No matter how hard you want to tank you'll never be able to see end game raids while tanking with a hunter.
