Very short clip of legendary avant-garde musician and eccentric genius Moondog (Louis Thomas Hardin). This rare appearance is from a street scene in The Moving Finger (1963). Oddball crime drama about Beatniks, a shyster poet, and a wounded gangster loaded with cash hiding at the coffeeshop. It had no theatrical release, but uncovered by Something Weird Video. Great to see Moondog!!!

... very good. I met Moondog sometimes in Recklinghausen, germany. Now I builded a little memorial in Second Life for him. Youtube-clip about it is called:

Wow! I've never seen moving pictures of Moondog before. One of the greatest American composers, we were lucky to have had him.

One summer day back in the 70's, I was roaming the streets of Manhattan and saw Moondog, Tuli Kupferberg and Gene Palmer (street drummer in Taxi Diver fame) all in the same day!
