AMS History

Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc. (AMS) began as a vision in response to a personal tragedy. One of our founders had a close friend who was killed by a five-time DUI offender − exemplifying the persistent problem of hardcore drunk driving in our country.

This event was the impetus behind our founders' collective vision to create a product for the court ecosystem that would:

-Continuously monitor alcohol offenders
-Hold them accountable for their actions
-Reduce recidivism
-Effect long-term behavioral change

As with both SCRAM and SCRAMx, AMS' core focus is on the alcohol offender -- in particular, the hardcore drunk driver. Our timeline below highlights product development, court adoption, and usage milestones.
