**A Buddy played Camera Man on a couple scenes as i worked on my car, sorry he did not hold still to Good. So, I Finally Got around the replacing my Power Steering Pump. While i was at it i decided to replace all my drive belts or "V-BELTS". Changing inexpensive parts like this since they are coming off anyways is a Wise Decision. It saves time later and gives you peace of mind, knowing EVERYTHING is in GOOD working order. **Thanks you in advance for Rating and Commenting on my videos, -BOGAR!

  • Hey Bogar! Great video as usual! :) You have any tips on tightening the PS belt? I have a heck of a time getting it tight enough.

  • @focusonthegreen, Yes of coarse i can help you with that. But if you already know where all the adjustment points are anf you are using them....and still not tight.....then it sounds like you Got the wrong belt on there. Remember about a half inch to either side is Good. Also is it squealing? -BOGAR!

  • Thanks! Well the problem is how to get it tight...how do you tension it? I've tried using a long screwdriver to use with the tab that's at the bottom on the pump...to pry against but I can't get it to work properly. I'm wondering too if maybe the belt i have is just no good...I bought a cheap one of course...lol. It squeals under hard throttle but also when it's cold, it vibrates when you turn the wheel...and squeals when the wheel is turned all the way to either side...

  • @focusonthegreen, If you look at the pulley there is a couple of holes...well behind that is the tightening bolts for the while pump. And it sounds like thats what you need. Also this particular set up is prone to have the pulley seize up a bit. To find out have some one full lock the steering to the left and right, you might find that the pulley is freezing and then you will hear a squeal! Whats also confusing is that there is 3 belts that look like they fit fine but there is only one correct.

  • Very informative video as usual Bogar!!!:btw; what car of urs was this that u were changing these things on? It looks like the buick am I correct?

  • Yeah it was the Buick, i thought that was obvious!

  • I find it's a stupid pulley system in these 307's. just designed to squeal. my belts usually do. both mechanics i've had in the last ten years have both said the same thing about the design. otherwise bulletproof motor. mine's not going to (hopefully) die anytime soon.

  • Great video but I didn't see the process of you actually replacing it! I saw before you replace it and then after, and it was on the dark! But cool, thanks for the video man! We still got to learn a few things!

  • Cool, thank you very much. It's very possible it's not the right belt...I changed them out on my Toronado a few months ago and with that one I bought better belts...I guess you get what you pay for! =)

  • time to derby it haha lol jk

  • hey I don't know if you have considered it before, but I have a 94 Chevy s10 pickup and I replaced the belt driven fan and clutch all for an electric fan from flex-a-lite. Its really useful. Saves on gas, increased hp, quited the engine, and makes for faster warm up in the winter.... just though you might want to know..... another great video thatks!

  • Cool video, make sure those belts, ESPECIALLY that power steering one is tight or there are problems. Might not wanna drive this car too much anymore. Not built for today's roads
