  • "I see your face and sense the grace and feel the magic of your touch"!! what great and touching lyrics. Tom Bailey is such an awesome musician. The music of today does not rate highly with me. bring back the songs with feeling i say!!!! 80s music still rocks!!!!!

  • @mzzh Teens of today! Do you see this? Stylish 80's teenagers singing and clapping hands listening to happy music made by musicians.

  • HOT 100 BILLBOARD 1985 !!

    AMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!

  • @nerdling301 I was 16 in 1980 & it was wonderful :-)

  • @64Albere The ironic thing is.. that I doubt the charts for the 80's albums have been converted from microfilm and microfiche into electronic form AND although the now very powerful and convenient electronic charts are available, the MUSIC now is so awful that the charts are meaningless. Music has been crap for the past 20 years. I think there are two main reasons for that: greedy record companies, teens more interested in video games than music. B4 video games, teens lived and breathed music.

  • @AxeNewkill Microfilm ?? Microfiche ??.... I can,t remember using those research tools in a long time. Today its Wikipedia, Google search engine etc. Microsoft Encarta was a great software research tool but now... Billboard music ratings IS not the only music ratings website.

  • @AxeNewkill Just wanted to tell you that I appreciate your candid assessment of today,s music scene . I actually would say though nowadays one doesn,t have to buy a music magazine... the Billboard ratings are available online.

  • @64Albere That is an excellent bit of information! The rankings were a huge selling point for the magazine. I bet their subscriptions have plummeted. Years ago, i used to go to a special library that had old copies of Rolling Stone and Billboard on microfilm and microfiche to research some things. Now, I could do the same research in less than 10% of the time it used to take me.

  • Eighties was the best decade there ever was. Real Instruments, real talent. And I agree with one comment here, there was no RAP!!

  • @AxeNewkill agreed, rap killed the fun in music, we were introduced to a dumber kind of music because the people making it were mostly dumber, music that was cold with no heart, was very bland, unoriginal mostly, just plain boring, and took itself far too seriously.
