The infamous Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo, in Cheyenne, Wyoming includes a cruel and dangerous event called the "Wild Horse Race." These horses aren't wild, they're terrorized. How can such abuse be allowed in the United States of America. How can corporate sponsors such as Coca-Cola, AT&T, Southwest Airlines and Dodge sponsor such abuse?

In 2009, unwilling to stop its abuses, Cheyenne instead banned video cameras.

  • have they stopped this now because this awful..

  • @wolfgirl167Jess This is not going to stop until laws change. Animal abuse is legal in WY and other states' rodeo arenas because rodeo is exempted from animal cruelty laws.

  • @SHARKonlineorg I think that outragous that still going on, i went to website noticed you did film some people where like"it not hurting them" it like wtf.. cant you see it head just spin :0 why dont like the america NPCA i think called that what her does that animal rights tv show program get invloved and over people ..

  • @wolfgirl167Jess The problem with television is conflict of interest with sponsors. A tv network will be careful about exposing an issue a major corporation is funding if that corporation is also giving a lot of advertising money to the network's stations. It's all about the money with them.

  • OK, I am NO fan of PETA. (I'd be happy to toss pig's blood on some of those losers) but this is absolutely wrong. These horses ARE being terrorized for entertainment purposes, pure and simple. God put animals on earth for man to USE, not ABUSE. Even Scripture says the man who mistreats his animals will have to answer to God for it.

  • @fiona3637 Thanks for your post. Most organizations and individuals working to stop animal abuse are not affiliated in any way with PETA.

  • i wonder if these fuckwits would put their family dogs through the same pain they force the rodeo animals to endure. oh wait they probably would

  • I HATE, HATE, HATE AMERICA WITH ALL MY HEART FOR THIS!!! thank GOD I live in Sweden!!

  • @009593 We used to have slaves, too. Should we go back to that? Some things that were done in the past serve no purpose today. There are plenty of enjoyable things you can do with horses that aren't likely to injure or kill it, you know. While no sport is totally safe, intentionally treating horses in the manner of the "wild horse race" is certainly not the kind of treatment YOU would want to be subjected to, and it DOES result in various injuries to some horses, and some die.

  • The rodeo's definition of "abuse" must be extremely broad. I guess they figure that abuse means hitting horses with hammers, stabbing them, gouging their eyes out....things like that.
