Killzone 2 E3 2005 Trailer

The infamous Killzone 2 trailer shown at E3 2005 which was not "actual gameplay". Jack Tretton was referring to the I-8 trailer, AKA Resistance: Fall of Man.

No, this actually was a target render for the game, but now they have some actual gameplay videos, and the graphics look just as good with better visual effects.  There are many videos you can check out, just type in Killzone 2 beta, and you will see a lot of videos.

The game itself actually looks a bit better than this, thanks to Geurillas special "Foreground tecnique" or whatever I should call it. They put more work in the foreground than in the background, so that the visuals looks better! And on top of that the gameplay looks just as good as the graphics, so this is gonna be a GOTY candidate, absolutely...See you online, if I can survive these remaining days.....IF....

Have you noticed how xbox gamers stopped commenting on this video when the game was released? all the time they were saying "Its video footage, not real gameplay"... well of course it was as they couldnt get a console to deal with the similar graphics to this (which Killzone 2 is amazingly bang on with this promo) but alas the game arrived... looked lush and as amazing as the Xbot fanboys said ' A cut scene' :D

Hard to believe this was 6 years ago. Looking in hindsight the actual game was pretty close to this render, but was definitely inferior, although not by a heck of a lot. Motorstorm's actual gameplay however was quite a bit worse than the CGI trailer we were shown. I just hope companies don't try pull this bullshit again this E3.

Well, I was just passing by, but I just wanted to say that you have to be FUCKING INSANE to say that these graphics can even be compared to the shitty graphics Killzone 3 has. I mean, Killzone 3 looks great for a game of this gen, but have you ever seen this trailer in 720p? The amount of detail is staggering, it's something completely out of this world, Crysis 2 can't even compare.

That's why some people knew it was prerendered from the start, because it was just too good to be true.

I remember being hyped to fuck when I saw this trailer than when killzone 2 came out and it didn't look as good I was gutted but now killzone 3 looks even better than this :D

@EternalSoul175 also crysis and killzone both have there strong points in there graphics crysis has amazing realistic textures but killzones fire explosions and bullet effects are better then crysis's and once again i own and loe them both alot i defend either one on site so im not just jumping on your ass for loving crysis because if i was id be a hypocrite

@EternalSoul175 crysis has better graphics but i prefer killzones graphics i own both crysis and kz2 and love them both equaly but kz2s graphics just apeal more to my taste its dark and gritty and feels like a real war
