How to download videos from youtube and convert them to mp3.

To get RealPlayer go to this website: www.real.com/realplayer and click on 'Download FREE RealPlayer' and then follow the instructions.

Once you've downloaded it follow the step by step instructions.

1. Go to youtube and search for a video.
2. Click on the video and you can either pause it or watch it (doesn't matter)
3. Move your mouse over the video or right click and click download to RealPlayer.
4. The download window will pop up. Once the download is complete choose Convert to.
5. Then click on Convert to: and then from drop down menu choose show all
6. Click on MP3 Audio Only and click OK.
7. Choose a location for your mp3 file and click Start to Start converting.
8. Next to the Start button you will see a progress, allow some time for it to convert it.

And there you're done. Now you can find your music in wherever you wanted to be converted.

P.S. Sorry I have missed out the details button next to MP3 Audio Only, in there you can change the settings for 'Format' or 'Quality'. Note: The higher quality you choose then the converting time will take longer.

You can now download Videos and convert them to MP3 from YouTube.

i use to be able to download videos from youtube using realplayer as you indicate here. however now I can rarely do it. It just won't start downloading even though the "download this video" button appears. I thought it might be a format problem but I haven't looked into it and I really wish it would start working again.
