Experimental data using metallic "dowsing rods" to locate buried objects. In this module, the emperical evidence of two buried objects is presented. Along the azimuth defined by the objects, detection ranges of 60 - 80 meters was established.

  • thanks for ur reply... I'll so some more research on the subject but from what I know about physics... I don't see how a dowsing rod can differentiate from a rock that's burried in the ground or the dirt itself!! Dirt is made out of matter you know... so an object being burried in the ground shouldn't have more pull towards two metal rods than any object. My point is:

Dirt is just as much of an object as an object... Physics-wise, it shouldn't work, but I've never tried dowsing rods.

  • Boz,

Save your time and trouble (you'd come HERE) and simply contact the Greater Houston Skeptic Society. Ask why they first enthusiastically agreed to review Exp. 4 in the field then rapidly retracted their offer.Contact Naomi Baker at the Greater Houston Skeptic Society. She calls herself the "geek goddess."

Email me a copy of her answer (she didn't mine). Oh, Boz, it is important to read the experimental parameters, You don't get to make them up as you go along.

I invite you or anyone else you know in the Los Angeles area to do an experiment with me:

I'll bury an object in a field and give you three tries to find it... If you find it, I'll give you 1,000 dollars... If you don't find it, you give me 10 dollars. Easiest ten dollars I'll ever make.

  • Sure they work, I've used them as well. It's a joke to think that anyone would do a video on this and fake it. (they aren't selling diving rods, are they???) But then again, some people aren't able to get or realize something so simple and magical as dowsing! That's okay! Quantum physics is more of an understanding that "we" need to be part of the experiment, since we function in our own world -- we don't live in laboratories, do we?!?!

    Thanks, very cool,

    Doug

  • Dowsing rods work because of the fact that "the subjects are aware of the locations to begin with" within the subconscious mind, where everything can be known---if asked. The dowsing rods are just extensions of the connection between Selves, i.e. Our Consciousness with the Subconscious, or lower self. There is also a Higher Self, who's not really concerned about finding things in the dirt ! Everything comes in 3's....think about that.

  • These are some excellent videos. Only concern I have is the possibilty of subconscious suggestion? I don't know if the subjects are aware of the locations to begin with or not. Watch Derren Brown's clip on dowsing for a good example.
