Guerrilla knitter hits Mexico City

Magda Sayeg is tagging Mexico City and covering a bus in graffiti only shes using knitting, not spray cans, to do the job. The 34-year-old Texan, founder of the guerrilla knitting collective KnittaPlease.com, faced her biggest challenge yet this week in Mexico City when she covered a whole bus in, well, knitting.

Crochet is a dirty word in the fiber arts community. The only thing with less respect in the craft world would be latch hooking. Sad that craft bias exists. It's not the same thing. One is made with two straight needles; the other (crochet) is done with a singular hook. The only common denominators: loops and yarn. Can't we all just get along?
