Every band has great qualities and traditions. Im not here to Bash the BOX, I am cool with many of those percussionist there and Frat with some as well. I will always represent the Chocolate Thunder Drum Section of GSU to the fullest. Being proud and being Ignorant are two different things. There are BOX members that are proud of their section and Thunder members are proud and honored to be apart of GREATNESS. Both sections were great that year. Thunder held their own that year. AWESOME YEAR!!

We were not allowed to battle each other. Now I know that the BOX will say they can battle no matter what. but we were not allowed to do much of anything. We tried to challenge, but we were pushed to the buses. Not an excuse, its a fact. If you from the DFW area, you know not the mess with the Dallas Police, they will rip a hole in you for real. The battle was great, and that year GSU was BLOWING period. Look, I give props and I respect PVU and The BOX. Some people are just NEGATIVE.Continue

To be honest with you, Steve Harvey gave Thunder the W. He said we were musicians and we played our hearts out. We gave the people a musical performance and that's what many view the battle as. One Drum Section put on a show, the other was very musical and gave the crowd an outstanding performance. Now for those of you that think Thunder was not able to CHOP THAT OZZ UP, we wanted some and was coming of stage to get some. But for the people who were there and know the truth, Continue....

The BOX has a style all of its own. They put on a show and wowed the crowd with what they do best. Not taking anything away from them, they represented and they were commended. Chocolate Thunder has its own style as well. We are about Funk and Straigh Ahead playing. We did what GSU does best, we showed up and gave a musical performance that represents our standards. The BOX was musical as well, but like Steve Harvey said, the BOX put on a show and that their style. Continue......

Ok....lets talk real talk, the GSU/PVU game is one of the best Classic games around. I marched with Gram from 2001 to 2006 and I have to say that 2003 was a great year for both bands and drum sections. GSU band was rippin holes in a majority of the SWAC that year, ask J-State and SU. We blew J-State leave out of their own stadium and made them GO HOME...GO HOME!!! I was in the Drum Battle a the Steve Harvey Show, and I must say that both D-Line represented well. Continue.......

@KJinTX I was thinking the same thing. Where are the days when you could have a healthy rivalry? I'll forever love the Marching Storm but there's no need to get nasty about it, that is unless you're talking about the beat & the moves!

There's a lot of hatred on these comments, even from myself. SMH right now. What happened to the days where bands used to appreciate and encourage one another?? Nowadays u cant even put them near each other or a dang fight's gonna break out. :(

@tgqn10 Ummm I seriously doubt that.. i was there PERFORMING. Afterwards, J. Anthony Brown personally came to our buses to congratulate us and even strapped. Got the pictures to prove. I know u reaching but Chocolate Thunder couldn't handle that era of Da BOX.

use to say if you played for GSU and you was winning you could probably play in the pro's just because of the fact that at that time the SWAC was the closes D1-AA which is now know as D1-FCS confence so fuck all that National Championship shit. Now back to Drumlines.
I agree with about of what you said Rob but I think SU set and still hold the standard.
