@jonahtran1 You don't think Vai matches paul in musical technicality?

I'm a huge Vai and Paul fan. I actually happen to prefer alot more of pauls music to Vai's but Vai is undoubtedly far beyond any other guitarist (atleast that I know of) in terms of compositional skill and technical ability.

It's not my opinion, It's just a fact lol

Well he's obviously insanely great as a musician, but I like how he admits that he's basically a rocker and is maybe just a bit limited in that way. Personally I think he can probably play anything ever written. Rock or not.

I don't understand why there's so much ragging on Steve Vai. Sure he's a little goofy sometimes (I blame Zappa for that), but I've never seen Vai come off as anything but someone who genuinely loves the guitar. Malmsteen's a wanker, though. :)
