Sheila Joynes plays Coventry Carol in a setting by William Lloyd Webber. A Christmas present from her and me.

  • That's a lovely thing to read, roberttwfsm. I don't play regularly now and often miss it. This was recorded in St George's Catholic Church, Worcester, where Elgar himself was organist at one time. The stops (in the first shot of the stops)marked with an "E" underneath, were contained in the organ he used to play before it was rebuilt. Thanks for your kind comment.

  • On behalf of Sheila, thank you for the compliment! :-)

  • It kind of sounds like "Summertime" from Porgy and Bess at the beginning there. Nonetheless an interesting setting, and very proffesional sounding.

  • This is my song :)

  • playin very good.. çok guzel olmus..

  • Thanks! So does Sheila and so do I - though in fact there's very little Sheila plays that I don't like! :-) Happy Christmas!
