When i beat the main villain, i was in for a huge surprise when i thought i was done, only to discover that i also had to go up against 2 hellishly strong guardians at the end... This is without a doubt one of the hardest games ive ever played.

  • this was an awesome beat em up back then, I remember it well, the blending of two different styles brawling and shootin. but one thing I still remember was the sound of the characters death.......Hilarious

  • Dang, for an NES game that was actually a pretty good ending, IMO it sure beats SMB3's ending with Princess Peach yucking it up and even forgetting to thank you for saving her. It's just too bad the rest of this game wasn't nearly as good as SMB3 IMO, LOL.

  • The whip in this game puts the Vampire Killer to shame!

  • He's beating the roast turkeys out of those guys and alligators. This game is super frustrating and I remember HATING it as a kid but the music is so good.

  • serious props to Kireev for going thru one of the toughest games in the NES library! the way I see it, the true problem with this game is that it was WAY too ambitious for the console it was released on. I think with the technological advances in gaming today, both hardware & software-wise, if Konami decides to remake it they might yet achieve what they truly envisioned when making it. but that's just my own 2 cents!

  • @kahrne

and he was right. this game has funky cool music!

  • Not sure if this little bit of info is entirely true, but interesting nonetheless:

From what I've heard over on The Spoony Experiment, where a "Review" for this game is at, he mentioned that the original Japanese version is far easier than this one. The doubled the health for the enemies and halved the player's for the US release.

Which is a bit silly, when it was seemingly more commonplace to release easier version to the US instead.

  • ROADHOUSE!

  • In 1993/4 I was lent this game from one the kids of a DIY man/joiner,whom we have known for years.I found it really hard, but liked the driving stages.I was also given Kabuki Quantum Fighter at the same time, which I thought was an extremely weird game.

  • One of the weird games of Konami but it has the cool stage music,
