Sega Nascar Arcade Attract Mode

Sega's Nascar Arcade, running on the Hikaru boardset.

This game features many real drivers including the late Adam Petty and the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. This is Sega's best looking Nascar-style game thanks to the powerful Hikaru board. This board produces incredible visuals, but, sadly, is extremely fragile. This boardset was hugely expensive for Sega to produce and stands as the last, no holds barred board from them. From here on, Sega utilized console or PC technology.

While Sega's later arcade games were still great, I can't help but to think we lost a little when they quit developing dedicated, uber-hardware for their titles...

Do people consider this to be Daytona 3?

@ScrewAttackEurope No, not at all. This game has a much different feel than the Daytona games. It is more like a sim, and it is not nearly as fun Daytona 1 or 2.

I have a Japanese model twin Nascar (plus half of another - lol). This game will not work in a Model 3 cab as it uses the JVS wiring standard. Also, It requires a high res monitor. This board will run in a Naomi or Chihiro driving cab, though.

Crush 40 has its whole first album in this game so yes Crush 40's music is in here, besides Open Your Heart.
