The most appreciate professional trumpet of the past century. Cat Anderson played this but also a lot of other meaningful players. The song is played by Maynard Ferguson with a Connstellation 38B.

  • Where do I buy a bronze this material? Here in Brazil there is the trumpet, I played yesterday with a brother from my church, he had a igualsinho this. Pretty much the timbre of the trumpet Conn 38B

  • eu tenho um 36 b- envelhecido naturalmente excelente instrumento, tem um super som..

  • @TrumpetRed114 I know it's been a year, but notice that the bell says "USA" below Connstellation--meaning that this is not an Elkhart horn...it might be from the 1970s-80s when Conn made its brasses in Abilene, Texas. UMI-Conn also made some recreation 38Bs in the late 1980s-early 90s.

  • what would have been cooler was to add a tune from MFs Roulette years. Thats when he was with Conn...something like " Where`s Teddy "

  • Walter White collects these horns.

  • Though MF & Cat played the 38B-this recording done in '82 has MF playing the Holton-you should have put up a recording of MF playing the Constellation-like 'Frame 4 the blues' or 'Where's Teddy'

  • here in philippines u can see a lot of those trumpet.. using in marching band.. for screamers upper registers.. :) i had test 1 one of those.. it is so different in upper register.. :) it has a mellow sound

  • This was not played on a Conn, but a Holton.

  • You're really wrong. Maynard played a Connstelation in the past, but no in this album from 1981.

  • who missed the like button?
