This game sucks sucks sucks. Its linear? No, it sucks. Its more funny to use it as a freesbi. L'cie, fal'ciel, thcie'L, par'ciel. Grand Pulse! Grand Pulse is cool. I want to marry Vanille. For all the time, i have worked on the left stick for see her bottom parts. Fighting is boring in this game, so... I want to marry sazh. No, Sazh no. Tifa! No, Tifa is Final Fantasy, this is Fantasy Final. This is the end, beautiful friend. So boring... I mean FF XIII, who else. Sooooo boring. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Guys there are two reasons why the game is linear: 1. Because you don't have time to free roam when everyone is trying to kill you and 2. Square was going to make it less linear but released it before they could have finished it. Honestly, the game is linear, but that wasn't a problem, and when you get to grand pulse, it becomes amazing and not linear. Final fantasy 10 was linear but no one seemed to complain.

@claire1909 they didn't make it linear and controlled because they thought it would be good for the game, they did it that way because they are to incompetent and lazy to make a big rpg with todays graphics and standards. they have admitted themselves that they cant make a game like final fantasy vii with todays standard, it would be to "time consuming and expensive" and so on... wich is just bullshit, just look at just cause 2, skyrim, fallout 3 and so on.. i think squeenix is gone in 10 years
