I'm so proud of this brother. He is a composer and educator too. He seems like a gracious person too . The world needs many more like him . It was so refreshing to see Simmons playing Skryabin & Barber ! I hope he writes more music for our generation .Put it all in there from Perotin ,Ades, Ellington to Schoenberg ! Wow , concert programmes desperately need new music and new audiences.People should not be afraid . A great bunch of mavericks bringing new strategies and sounds..

so cool. :) I worked with him before on another piece he wrote in my youth orchestra and that was just amazing and tons of fun.

The Violin of course is only wooden, but his mic is hooked up to an FX pedal. Atleast, the sound changes when he looks down moves his foot.

there is nothing like being able to witness this live. i've met him, listened to him play this, experienced his greatness and of course asked for his autograph. he played with the Louisville Orchestra and did a special befoe show performance with all of the high school students. he is amazing and what he can do all on a WOODEN violin (no electricity involved) is quite a marvel.
