Frida Kahlo 1907-1954 a mexican artist

Frida was a surrealistic painter born in Mexico and married
to Diego Rivera also a famous artist. Both were active in politics (communism in Mexico).
She painted mostly self-portraits (with a mustache)
and things that happend to her or hurt her or about the way
she felt. As a young girl she had a handicap on one leg and
it became worse when she got an accident at the
age of 17 in a bus. That forced her to lay down for months
so she started to paint.
Her marriage with Diego was not easy he even betrayed her with her sister so she started having affairs herself.
Her life was inspiration to make a movie that came out in 2002 with Salma Hayek playing her.
I already knew her because her work fascinated me
but I saw the movie and liked it a lot.

I've never recognized frida's paintings just cuz it doesn't have the depth and the fundamentalism of a real artist, though i respect her artwork

I like her work and i think what you like or dislike is a personal thing

but I do think it ha depth because in a way a lot of her paintings

are the story of her life
