Gidget & Johnny May 31 2010 Puppies 3 days old

For the next 5 to 7 days I sleep next to the whelping box where I can hear the puppies, again listening for a puppy that is being squished. I watch that the smallest puppies are always close to the mother and that they are nursing. Sleeping next to the litter, I'm right there when the mother wants to go outside. I always pick up the puppies and put them in the warming box, when she gets up and starts moving around. The mother registered name is Flying High Spirit and the fathers name is Topbrass Spirit Of Johnny Jo. You can tell if the puppies are warm enough by watching to see if they are spread out away from the mother. If they are all huddle around and under the mother your room is too cold. Gidget finds a different way of nursing her puppies. She likes to sit up and nurse her puppies.
When the puppies are eating their little tails are going like mad. Happy little tails. Golden Retrievers come in all different shades of gold. They go from light to dark.
I breed Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever in Redmond, WA. I have been Breeding, Training, and Showing in AKC, CKC, UKC Obedience & Agility trials for over 35 years. I love raising puppies and teaching people how to live with dogs. I have bred some of the top Obedience dogs in the US & Canada including the #1 All Breed Dog in Canada for 2008, GMOTCH, Am, OTCH SPIRIT'S ZIM ZAM ZOOM UDX3. My dogs are very athletic, love to swim, hike and are very intelligent. They make wonderful family members and are great with children.
