Chefsville Kids - Food and Math

Segments from a LIVE assembly for 3rd graders at Tibbals Elementary in North Texas. Chefsville Kids demonstrated how math is in everything as a preparation for kids to take the TAKS/TAAS state-required assesment test. Math is involved with every aspect of cooking from budgeting, meal planning, shopping, understanding a recipe,and measuring. Segments not shown on this video were reading and understanding food labels, nutrition and portion sizes.
Chefsville is new, These LIVE assembly programs, saving lots of money for schools, are available by calling 972-516-0325. Ages 4-16. Other programs include Kitchen Pirates, Honoring the Family, camps, classes and workshops. Obesity avoidance and healther eating choices and strategies are demonstrated. Chefsville Kids also stresses important life-skills and character building principles such as teamwork, respect, self-esteem, integrity, honor, and community involvement.
