I am here at British International School Phukets Green Love Festival, an eco friendly event. On Tuesday December 2 the British International School Phuket held a Grand opening in its auditorium to welcome Phuket Governor Khun Preecha Ruangjan to its Green Love Festival or eco friendly event. There was a premier screening of our G-Force recycling video which we would like Hollywood to show one day!

Kathy Manthai, our teacher, helped pull the whole event together. The Evason Resort environmental team helped our International Baccalaureate Community Action Service or IBCAS team. During the exhibition there was a Toyota Hybrid car which was an exclusive greenLOVE preview delivered from Bangkok We also learnt and showed how to make your own Biodiesel; practice recycling at the trash or rubbish bin tossing. Visitors were also able to shop for environmentally friendly products and home solutions learn more about Phukets Leather Back Turtle conservation program. There was even a virtual landfill and E-Waste sculptures; plus an Exhibition by local environmental artist Pom; and a recycled paper workshop; We also held the grand opening of the recycled clothing Charity Shop Students and visitors also practiced making their own recycled paper origami, and held a Recycled paper airplane contest., For refreshments there were Natural juice smoothies with re-usable cups and no straws. For potential tourists and visitors there was a Sea Canoe Eco tourism presentation; and for energy & cost saving conscious residents, Solar power panels were on display Eco music was played and a Graffiti panel earth pledge was made. We hope this Green Love Festival inspires you to love green ideas to recycle, reuse and reduce. This is Victoria, todays Young Reporter for Andaman News. Back to the studio. BYE!!
