Nice piece! But try some eye protection at least... You get only one set of eyeballs...

I want to thank you guys for posting this! I just bought my wife a PT140 SS but she has been using every excuse not to fire it due to recoil. The only other small .40 she's ever fired was my Glock 27 (also .40). After I had her watch your video we are heading to the range in the morning. She already has her CCW and is an avid shooter but was afraid the Taurus would recoil worse than the Glock. She was amazed at how little recoil it displayed. Thanks again!!

he shoots like a woman - leaning back, with both arms straight in front of him. he needs to keep his strong foot behind him with his weak foot in front while leaning forward/arching his back...also he needs to keep his strong arm straight and his weak arm loose while maintaining a strong grip. this guy will have an accident one day - just a matter of time

Seriously.

Kahr is a excellent weapon. So is Sig Sauer. As I said I also carry an S&W M&P Compact in .40. However I never leave home without my Kel-Tec 3AT. With the clip that I added to the right side of the frame, I can carry it almost anywhere and it weighs almost nothing. I carry Cor-Bon JHP's and an extra mag in a knife sheath on my belt. To be honest it hurts like hell to shoot, but it works. I have 2 Sigs, a 229 and a 230. The 230 is also a .380 and is fairly small.

@rickd248 Thats a bit disappointing. I would hope that they would be able to have the pistol back sooner than four months but I guess it is going to south america more often than not. I think I may be going with a Kahr 9mm for my CCW. I've had it recommended to me by 3 ex military/retired law enforcement this week. Plus the single stack will be easier concealed being a slim framed dude.

@jonnyspringfield Taurus has a unique grip system. It uses a lot more rubber with ribs built into the grip. It does absorb a lot of the recoil. Now for the bad news. Shortly after I wrote the glowing report it started misfiring and doing strange things. I took it to my gun smith who has a big sign posted saying he will not work on Taurus weapons. I sent it back to Taurus who took almost four months and many telephone calls to get it back. I went for the S&W M&P in .40. I love it.

@rickd248 Hows the recoil on the PT140 compared to the G27? I would imagine the Glock has a bit more of a kick being a compact. I know a friend of mine has a G23 and G26 and the 23 was much more enjoyable to fire even with the larger caliber

@dagmaar1975 yeah i noticed that when i would go to a range and shoot .22 handguns just for plinking and because it is cheaper than my .40 and 380 auto ammunition that after shooting about 250 rounds one day i came home to clean it and didn't notice anything wrong with slide but as i continue to fire more and more using the slide release alot (10 round magazines) each time i clean it you can see aliltle more wear down on the gun.

he doesn't look very comfortable shooting, he is leaning back. I've shot this gun a few times(family member recently purchased) i like the feel but the sights could use some improvement. other than that it is easy to dissemble and i fun to shoot.
he wasnt used to the gun you could tell.

You're right, This was the second gun he's ever fired. The first was my brother's WaltherP22 that he shot right before this. big difference between a .22 pistol and a .40
