Fuck you. Jesus never talked that way to anyone except the LEADERS OF THE ESTABLISHED RELIGION AT THE TIME. Go adopt an unaborted baby and learn to love, you shit. "Many cry, 'Lord, Lord,'but I never knew them." Yeah, that's right, I just smacked your ass with fucking SCRIPTURE. What?! What?!

It is really quite pleasant, I'd like to note, that adults can exchange differing opinions on youtube without resorting to attacks. Thanks for not tearing me a new one and telling me what you think, FutureDeadPerson. Nice handle, by the way.

I liked his version. But I still think I prefer Dar's original (not this video, but the one on her album). I thought Peter Mulvey's was "emotional" to the point of sounding fake and put-on, whereas Dar's, with her beautiful voice, just haunts. His sounds forced; hers sounds natural. That's just my opinion, though!

One of the most undiscovered songs of all time. I came across this song about six months ago, listen to it everyday and it still moves me immensely. A song like this deserves a multi-million dollar budget for filmclip production. All we have is this little snippit and six comments. This blows my mind! On the other hand I feel incredibly special and priveleged to know it. Thankyou Dar Williams : )

I'm actually wearing a FRFF shirt right now...

Don't all you Dar fans shoot me at once, but I have never seen her perform or really listened to her before now. I am a huge Peter Mulvey fan, and his cover is SO MUCH BETTER...it feels less meandering than hers, and the brilliant, heart-tugging lyrics are delivered in so much less spacey a manner, they just seem to have much more poignancy when he does them, in spite of the gender implications from the "singer." I challenge you all to check out his version on youtube and disagree with me.

You should listen to her version of the ocean on her album "mortal city." It is one of my all time favorite versions of any song

Alexsmom- Yeah, I'm sorry about that too! But I was just using my digital camera, so I was limited on card space.
