Ipod Classic Doesn't Turn On

My ipod keeps making this weird sound like it's trying to turn on but never gets passed the apple start up logo, I've tried everything besides opening it up. Can anyone give me some advice on what I should do?

just keep pressing both of the skip buttons at the same time or hold them mines did the same thing but mines came back on some how

I just had the problem with my old school ipod classic. It was dead for years and left alone. Then right after Steve Jobs died it came to life. It just froze now. So I rebooted it. Tried turning it on and it kept getting stuck at the apple logo part. I could hear it trying to start. So i left it alone for a minute tried again and could hear it running smoothly. It's up and running again. This thing is a brick of an ipod. 60gb and its a classic 4th generation. NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR IPOD.
