One thing I never understood with this whole show... If Castle has Excellent shotting skills... and hand the money to buy a legal gun to protect himself... Why doesn't he have one?? At least to protect himself when people are shotting at him and Beckett (which seems to be happening a lot recently). It just never make any sense to me. Oh and I L.O.V.E this video, really captures their relationship :)

@xxsatinangelxx thanks! :) and I know where you are coming from! but personally I think that its the fact that he doesn't feel the need to have a gun. If he every REALLY needed one (like in previous episodes) she has acually given him one. But he doesn't need one all the time. :):)

While Castle may be an excellent shot, he is not a police officer. He is a civilian observer, a ride along. He is supposed to only accompany her into cleared crime scenes thereby negating the need for a weapon. Additionally, there could be legal and financial ramifications should he use a weapon while accompanying the NYPD.Research it. It is amazing what you find out. I am glad they are staying on this side of reality.

@xxsatinangelxx I think in 4x02 or 4x04, he was whining about being denied a permit to carry a gun by the City of New York. Then Esposito tells him how to get a carry permit the "easy" way: by being jumped in an alley and getting beaten half to death, and then reapplying with the city. Castle says "I'm not jealous anymore" lol.
