  • why were you sooo confident of doing a rook sack so early on in the game? isnt it risky unless you've played the line before? just trying to figure what goes on in your mind before you make such drastic moves! :)

    gg!

  • @dreamtheater39 At the very minimum it shattered White's pawn structure and weakened White's king a bit. No need for intense calculation sometimes - especially in blitz. What looks good sometimes is good. It turned out okay here, but sometimes such positional sacs don't have as much compensation.

  • funny, such a good sac and he does not notice that he is really two pieces up!

    anyway good game!

  • Actually two pieces up...he should have resigned sooner...

  • I've watched maybe 50+ of your videos and I thought this one was uniquely educational! I've never quite seen the value of a positional sacrifice like that. I guess it was just as much (if not more) of a trap/discovered attack by the bishop.

My question is, at around time 1:55, can you explain to me what you were thinking by possibly doing a knight sac on e5? What does that mean? Knight for pawn, but ahead in "position" somehow? How would that work out for you in the best of scenarios?

    Thx

  • I love your videos. Really. But this 1 was sub-par !

Bt never mind, haven't acknowledged you before. Great job so far, KC !

  • complete crush. fun to watch games like this

  • why u cant defeat v anand

  • wats a rook sac???

  • awesome rook sac, which turned out to be a monster!! owned.

  • You were 2 pieces up after 16. Nxb6. Or am i the one who needs to go back to kindergarten

So basically 2 pieces for a pawn. He could have resigned right there. Dunno why he didn't. Did you play the rest of the game thinking you were only up 1 piece for a pawn? Because after 41. Rxb5@9:00(you still said, so i'm now 2 pieces up! lol). No wonder you thought so long. You could have sacked the shit out of his pawn chain and everything since you had such a huge material advantage.

  • 38 Rb4, Ne3+!

    Nice game KC!
