Filled with the fear evoked by
the un-nerving possibility of
death, this "boy" must deal
with the cold reality that
he has been thrust into a
world in which one must
kill, or be killed...
In the process traversing
the bridge from his youth
into manhood.

I suppose it is more symbolic than anything else... The German knows he's done for, and out of respect for his enemy the American ends his suffering at the barrel of his own gun. But it is completely open for interpretation. Thanks for watching though! Your comments are appreciated.
