It's just LUSCIOUS!! I already looked it up online. I'd have to save up a bit for that, but it is well worth the money. I'm a complete journal and handmade paper junkie and I completely relate to all the gushing you did over this one. Enjoy it!!! TFS, Heather

@CraftyKatePalmer Mr. Cavalieri was a delightful man...and was so willing to teach me about the process of paper making....he is the ONLY one left from his family making paper by hand....but he has taught the nuns that have a convent just up the hill how to make the papers too. It was truly an amazing day. I arrived there early in the morning...and my scrubby came back about 6 pm that night - and I had no sense that time had passed. His papers have fabric mixed in with the pulp and are yummy!

I actually visited Amalfi a couple of years ago - and got to talk to the man who makes the papers in his craft shop. Mr. Cavalieri has been doing it for more than 50 years....he actually let me dip a couple of pages and it is such a favorite memory of mine! Love this journal....so gorgeous! Thanks for sharing it with us!

@WhatYouMakeIt1 WOW you were certainly so lucky to have had that amazing experience - I can only enjoy using the finished product (since I doubt I'll get to Italy any time soon), I don't know how he does it but the paper feels 'creamy' if I can explain it like that. Hmm perhaps my journal needs an Italian inspired page in homage to Mr Cavalieri :O)
