Matthew and Destiny: 5-16-11: It Meant Something To Me

Matthew stops Destiny in Angels Square. Why has she been avoiding him since they were last together? Destiny tries to walk away and runs straight into Marty. As Matthew asks about the baby Marty's holding, Destiny picks up the gun that's fallen from Marty's purse. Marty grabs the gun and aims at the kids. Matthew steps in front of Destiny. When Brody calls out Marty's name, Marty takes off. Brody appears, full of blood, and manages to call 911. John runs into Brody, Destiny and Matthew in the hallway. They explain how Marty was out of her mind crazy. She took off with Brody's gun and Liam. John suggests they keep the news about Liam from Natalie for now and says to Brody, "Whatever you decide I'll back you up." Alone, Destiny rants at Matthew for stepping in front of the gun. He was only trying to protect her. He asks about her avoidance and reminds her they had sex. "You did what?" Shaun asks from behind them. Destiny claims Matthew and his girlfriend had sex, which deters Shaun, who leaves. Matthew makes it clear how much their time together meant to him.

I'm finally happy that Matthew is taking the initiative in letting Destiny know he wants HER!!! At first I was worried that he felt like okay my life is slipping away so I'm taking comfort wherever I can! But when he said,' he didn't need anyone, he needed her ', I cried. I didn't know Matthew could throw down game like that.I wished he said he loved her, but I think he does b/c who would jump in front of a maniac with a gun for a casual hookup?

Wow. Things have changed on this show. I stopped watching a long time ago when Evangeline left the show; so imagine my surprise at seeing these two and she (Destiny) is full-figured, too.

I have to say, I have recently begun reading some fanfic on these two--good stuff. I'm thinking that OLTL should have hired some of the fanfic writers and fired the bunch of hacks who call themselves "professionals." A real professional would have given Matthew and Destiny more screen time.

I'am happy Matthew is bad. Now let hope is not a Fool a let Destiny go. Destiny really is the Best thing to every happen to him.
