Do a search for GOOGLE CLASSIC SHELL. I haven't done it yet but I was told that this will give you a normal start menu under windows 8.

there's lot of shortcuts in windows 8 you can call before bringing up the metro UI.

example: windows button + R, brings the run dialog...

please google.

the point is people shouldn't have to write their own OS! That's what MS is for and assuming they want continued custom they should make sure it's a GOOD OS

K I have a hard time taking objective reviews from someone who is clearly a Mac user and has admitted to having very limited use on windows 8. I mean if the apple icon on ur monitor didnt give it away lol. You use forced to use a mobile experience, i'm sorry but Mac "forces" you into doing and using alot of things as well. (yes I also have Mac product) There's one version of the Mac OS because they arent used in 90% of the worlds work offices so people dont need OS office pro features.

windows 7 its more easy to use more simpel 1 ı cant understand where is the differenz between windos 7 and 8 ? just ughly screen butons on w8 if you wannt windows 7 like 8 ,than use 5-6 mb small program ( rainmeter ), so you have same more interessting screen applications ! more more nice,and the performance from windows 7 is more higher than 8 ,the trick is ,dont make full DİSC C: WİTH MANY PROGRAMS thats all boys !
